I am a Research Fellow in the Embodied Visualisation Group at the Faculty of IT at Monash University, with extensive experience in tertiary education, Digital Health research, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Holding qualifications in Information Technology and Psychological Science, my expertise encompasses Digital Health, Health Informatics, Data Engineering, Geospatial Databases, Business Intelligence, Data Visualisation, and Big Data Management.
As an educator, I have extensive experience in designing and delivering engaging undergraduate and postgraduate units, leading curriculum revamps, fostering cross-faculty and campus collaboration, implementing blended learning models, and working with external teaching partners. I have supervised final year and research students to support their academic success and career readiness.
My research focuses on the secondary use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) data to support healthcare quality, safety, and operational decision-making through data-driven approaches. I collaborate closely with healthcare providers, researchers, government stakeholders, and industry partners to develop innovative digital health solutions, including near real-time clinical dashboards and healthcare data systems. I have successfully secured competitive grant funding (e.g., Whyte Fund and the Department of Health and Aged Care) and established strong national and international collaborations across Australia and Indonesia.
